Friday, the Parsons Roadhouse will hold a Pre Party/Fight Night event for Titan Fighting Championship 23, which will feature hometown fighter Andrew Carrillo on the card. The Parsons Dolphins Swim Team traveled to the Pittsburg YMCA Mickey Moback Invitational on Saturday and Sunday. The Dolphins took first place as a team and had three individuals take high honors in their age groups. The Labette County High School basketball team recently held the annual Gavin Carson Memorial 3 on 3 tournament. Over 400 players have participated in the tournament over the past five years and it has raised $4,120. The donations go towards the Gavin Carson Memorial-USD 506 Foundation and a scholarship is given out annually to an LCHS senior boy or girl in Gavin's name. Big Hill to host bowfishing state tourney
The Kansas Bowfishing Classic state championship will be held at Big Hill Lake on Saturday. Check-in for the event is at 7 a.m. at the Timber Hill Boat Ramp with fishing beginning at 8 a.m. The final weigh-in for the event starts at 4 p.m. Between 10 to 20 teams are expected. Each team has two to three members and will be fishing along the shoreline and in boats across the lake.

Reynolds receives South Central Regiona POW for 2nd time
Maxpreps.com recently named Allie Reynolds of Labette County High School its South Central Region Player of the Week. Reynolds also received the honor in April, making her the first and only player to receive this honor twice in 2012. Reynolds earned the award for the week ending May 19. Along with his all-Southeast Kansas League first team bid, Labette County High School senior Hunter Seibert also received an all-Class 4A first team spot from the KABC organization.
