LCC basesball loses in sub-region play
The Labette Community College baseball team opened the 2012 NJCAA Region VI Super Regional with a 12-2 loss to Garden City Saturday. Labette then lost a 7-6 matchup with Barton in 11 innings to fall out of sub-regional play. The Cardinals finish the season at 22-27 with a 14-22 record within the Kansas Jayhawk Community College Conference Eastern Division, good for seventh overall.

The Parsons High School swimming team hosted St. Paul High School for a dual swimming event at the Parsons State Hospital and Training Center pool Tuesday afternoon.
