COFFEYVILLE — Two Southeast Kansas League schools punched their tickets for the Class 4A state golf tournament here Monday afternoon. Sunny conditions and light winds greeted 10 teams for the Coffeyville-hosted Class 4A golf regional. The home Golden Tornado shot a 329 as a team to win the event. Two Labette Community College players landed on this season’s Kansas Jayhawk Community College Conference all-conference team. The Labette Community College Board of Trustees approved the professional staff contract for Jonathan Raney as the new men’s basketball coach for the LCC Cardinals starting on June 1 and the resignation of volleyball coach Jennifer Ginn during Thursday’s board meeting.
