Parsons MS takes 3 of 4 from Pittsburg
The Parsons Middle School basketball teams played host to Pittsburg Thursday night and finished with a 3-1 record.
The seventh-grade B team overcame an 18-2 deficit to win 33-31.
Osric Edwards led the team with 11 points, Hunter Barcus added nine, Kyle Hutley had six and Brett Houk scored four.
The seventh-grade B's record now stands at 10-2.

The Galesburg boys completed their season Thursday with a game against Neodesha
The Timberwolves began play with a 25-6 loss in the C game. JJ Burch was the high scorer with eight points and Gage Ruark added six.

The Galesburg girl’s basketball team took on Humboldt on Monday in a road game.
After going scoreless in the fourth quarter, the Timberwolves nearly lost the game but held on for a 33-32 victory.

The Parsons Middle School basketball teams played host to Iola Monday night and finished with a four-game sweep.
The seventh-grade B team overcame a 10-6 halftime deficit to win 26-17. Kyle Hutley led all scorers with 12, Osric Edwards added five and Christian Baldwin three. The eighth-grade B won easily 44-25. Sean Anderson led all scorers with nine points, hitting three 3-pointers, DeDe Lee added six and Keenan Dodd five.

The Labette Community College basketball teams lost a pair of games with Coffeyville Community College Wednesday evening in a league road game.
The Labette women fell to 8-15 overall and 3-8 in Kansas Jayhawk Community College Eastern Division play with a 73-62 loss to the Red Ravens.

Fort Scott hands Parsons its second loss
Fort Scott didn't mind taking a page out of Parsons' book Tuesday night.
Winning the close ones has been a calling card for the Vikes this season, but in crunch time the Tigers were the better team Tuesday in a 49-44 Fort Scott victory.

Parsons Wrestling Club took 19 wrestlers to Pittsburg Saturday to compete in their annual open wrestling tournament.

The Parsons High School wrestling team traveled to Towanda Friday for the 22nd Annual Thunderbird Invitational, a two-day tournament.
Over 20 teams competed in the annual tourney. The Vikings finished 14th overall with 51.5 points and had three placers in the event.
