Labette County wrestling splits SEK dual Thursday
The Labette County High School wrestling team took on Coffeyville and Columbus Thursday evening in Coffeyville and came away with a dual split. The Grizzlies opened with a 45-36 loss to Columbus, but defeated Coffeyville 36-23 in the second dual of the evening.

Saints sixth-graders win pair
The St. Patrick Catholic School sixth-grade boy’s basketball team played two Cherryvale teams on Saturday. In the opener, the Saints won 46-17. Chance Buller scored 12, John Young had 10, Dawson Giager scored eight and Ike Reitemeier pitched in with six in the win. The Parsons High School wrestling team traveled to Towanda Friday for the 22nd Annual Thunderbird Invitational, a two-day tournament. Over 20 teams competed in the annual tourney. The Galesburg boys’ basketball team took on Caney Monday evening. Action opened with Caney winning the C game 21-11. The team was led in scoring by Ruben Rodriguez, who had five points. J.J.
