The Rotary Pirates defeated the GW Photography Rangers 11-1 Thursday evening at Sonny Johnson Field in Parsons in 11-12 year old Babe Ruth League play.

Twins grab three wins in Babe Ruth League 11-12 division
The ParCom Twins shut down the Rotary Pirates 10-3 Friday in 11-12 year old Babe Ruth League action at Sonny Johnson Field in Winway Park in Parsons.
The game was decided quickly thanks to six runs in the first three innings from the Twins.

CNC releases post-season baseball, softball teams
The CNC League has released its all-league teams for 2012.
Erie High School had one representative on each of the softball and baseball teams.
In softball, Erie's Kendra Engstrom was named an honorable mention outfielder for her efforts in her junior campaign while Erie senior Keith Marquardt was named an honorable mention infielder.

Reynolds receives South Central Regiona POW for 2nd time
Maxpreps.com recently named Allie Reynolds of Labette County High School its South Central Region Player of the Week.
Reynolds also received the honor in April, making her the first and only player to receive this honor twice in 2012.
Reynolds earned the award for the week ending May 19. During that time she threw two shutouts and a no-hitter to help Labette County improve to 20-0 on the season.

Seibert makes first team all state, selected to all star game
Along with his all-Southeast Kansas League first team bid, Labette County High School senior Hunter Seibert also received an all-Class 4A first team spot from the KABC organization.
Seibert hit .522 while scoring 19 runs in 2012. He knocked in 15 runs and had four doubles and two triples.
In 69 at-bats this season Seibert struck out just once.

The Southeast Kansas League has released its all-league baseball team for the 2012 season.
Five local players received bids on this year's team.

The Kiwanis Rangers defeated the Ray Products Rockies 13-9 in six innings of Rookie League action on Friday.

Cossou golf benefit
A golf benefit for Lori and Rob Cossou will take place at the Parsons Golf Club on June 23.
The Cossou family lost their home and nearly all of their possessions in a flood on the morning of May 1. With no help from their homeowner's insurance, the money raised from the tournament will be donated to the family for help.

EMPORIA — Moments after a 12-1 loss to Medicine Lodge ended its chance of winning state, the St. Paul High School baseball team was forced to play for third here Saturday at Soden’s Grove.
