ALTAMONT — Win and advance, or lose and go home.
That was the situation facing both Labette County and Columbus entering Thursday's regular season finale at Lucas Field.
Unfortunately for the host Grizzlies, it will be the Titans who will move on.
Columbus defeated Labette County 32-0 on Thursday in the final district contest of the season.

Neodesha holds Cherryvale to 200 yards of offense
CHERRYVALE — The Neodesha Bluestreaks held the Cherryvale Chargers to less than 200 yards of offense Friday night in a Class 3A District 7 high school football game.
Cherryvale fell to 1-2 in district play with the 39-8 loss.
Neodesha scored twice in the first quarter on a 14-yard run and an interception return. The Bluestreaks struck again three more times before halftime, including on another interception.

ST. PAUL — Marmaton Valley crushed St. Paul's hopes of post-season play here Thursday night, defeating the hometown Indians 52-6.
With the loss, the Indians' season ends at 6-2.

INDEPENDENCE — With a 57-28 loss to Independence on Thursday night, the 2012 high school football season came to an abrupt end for the Parsons Vikings.

OSWEGO — Solid play from Oswego’s defense led to a short field and plenty of scoring opportunities for the Indians in a Class 2A, District 4 high school football game Friday night.

Competing at the state cross country meet has become a yearly occurrence for the Labette County High School boys cross country team.

CANEY — Erie’s bid to reach the state volleyball tournament came up one win short.

The Grizzlies finished third in the team standings at the Bishop Carroll Class 4A Regional Cross Country Meet on Saturday at Lake Afton. The top three teams qualified for the state meet.
