OVERLAND PARK— For the fifth time this season, the Labette Community College men’s basketball team won an overtime game. Labette’s men pulled out a 79-78 win over Johnson County in OT on Saturday night. Erie drops both games at Burlington
BURLINGTON — The Erie Lady Red Devils struggled on the road against undefeated Burlington on Friday night, losing 70-28 against the top-ranked team in 3A. Bret McGuire totaled 11 points to lead Erie in scoring. She had two of the team’s three three-pointers and made three of four free throws. McGuire also led the team in rebounds with eight. ST. PAUL — The Oswego Indians edged out the St. Paul Indians on Friday night, 53-50. St. Paul had a three-point advantage at 13-10 after the opening quarter, but Oswego scored 22 points in the second quarter, when the team made three of its four three-pointers.
