She was born to Homer and Irene Smith on Sep. 12, 1934, in Cherokee County.
She married John “Larry” Owen. He survives.
Other survivors include a son, Curtis, of Kansas City, Kan.; an aunt, June Bray of Parsons.
She was preceded in death by her parents.

ERIE — Ronald M. Sallee, 72, of Erie died at 3:36 a.m. Saturday, June 19, 2010, at Labette Health in Parsons.
He was born March 29, 1938, in Coffeyville to Max and Augusta (Ernie) Sallee.
He was a truck driver.
