He was born June 12, 1945, in western Kansas to Ralph and Wanda L. (Long) McCarl.
On Aug. 28, 1972, he married Ruby Pearl Weaver at Wichita. She preceded him in death on Aug. 11, 2005.
He most recently worked for North End Used Cars. He retired in 2008.
