CHETOPA — Jessie C. Kepford, 90, a lifelong resident of Chetopa, died at 12:05 a.m. Thursday, May 3, 2012, at Webb City Health and Rehabilitation Center in Webb City, Mo.
He was born on Nov. 14, 1921, in Chetopa to George W. and Bertha Alice (Turnbough) Kepford. As a young boy, he grew up and attended school in Chetopa.
During World War II, he served in the U.S. Army.

INDEPENDENCE — Charles “Charlie” Howard Housel, 75, of Independence died Tuesday, May 1, 2012, at Mercy Hospital in Independence.
