A Parsons woman’s recovery from a paralyzing auto accident and injuries suffered in the May 22 tornado in Joplin is going slowly, a family member said.
Carla Kendrick, 37, suffered two calamities in 20 days. The first occurred May 2 in a car versus semi-tractor trailer accident outside of Carthage, Mo. She was partially ejected from the car and is paralyzed from the chest down. She was recovering in St. John’s Regional Medical Center in Jopl...

GIRARD — A Walnut woman was killed and her child injured in a two-vehicle accident west of here Tuesday.
The accident happened at 5:10 p.m. Tuesday on K-47 about 2.5 miles west of Girard, according to the Kansas Highway Patrol.
