Area children dressed as their favorite characters braved a chilly wind to collect candy from participating downtown merchants. Galesburg Christian Church High School Youth Group members Trent Harvey, Drew Kane, Shyanne Dunn, and Carlee Knute continue work in preparation for the opening of "The Orange Swan Free Store, a free/thrift store the youths are opening in a garage northwest of the church. The store is to help provide clothing, shoes, and household at no cost or a cost of 50 cents, to help those in need. The grand opening of the store, located at 205 Chestnut Street, in Galesburg, is this Saturday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Following businesses requesting all clothing bins Planet Aid being remove all clothing bins from Parsons, donations are picking up again at the used clothing store, which uses all profits to assist various non-profit organizations for the needy throughout Labette County.
