For Oswego, Thursday marked the opening of the team's new softball and baseball facilities located north of OHS. The Indians welcomed St. Paul in baseball and softball for two doubleheaders. OHS softball won 11-7 and 20-5 over St. Paul while St. Paul baseball won 5-1 and 11-6 over Oswego.

McLaughlin's other son JeanLuc looks on as his father finishes his volunteer work for Operation Bright Touch, a non-profit organization that beautifies the city of Parsons by creating and maintaining flower beds around town.The organization is in serious need of volunteers to help maintain the flower beds. Labette County High School senior Tiara Ford signs her letter of intent to play basketball for Independence Community College next season Monday afternoon in the LCHS commons area in Altamont. Ford is joined on the front row by mother Emily O'Brien and father Mike Ford. LCHS girls' basketball coach Kristi Snider and Ford's sister Michaela O'Brien are shown on the back row. Ford was a three-year starter for the Lady Grizzlies and earned All-SEK honors as well as honorable mention Class 4A honors as a senior.
