Service Valley Charter School had dress like a farm animal day Wednesday for staff and students. While there were many dogs, cats, rabbits and cows, these three dressed like a chicken. Pictured are (from left) Jamie Wells, special education teacher; Klete Keller, a second-grader; and Sheila Robison, math and science teacher for fifth through eighth grades. Klete even had chicken legs fashioned from yellow duct tape. All three wore yellow rubber gloves for their chicken feet.

In preparation for test runs Monday evening, Calvin Schnoebelen helps Parsons High School students with assembly of the robot they will enter in the Oklahoma FIRST Robotics Regional Competition March 28-29, in Oklahoma City. Behind the metal pyramid, Geoff Sevart, an information technologist at Dwayne's photo, tweaks the computer program that enables the robot to climb the metal sculpture.

April Amos works on a floral arrangement for Valentine's Day Thursday at All Seasons Floral, 2503 Main, while co-owner Kris Clemens fills a vase with water. A flower shop crew worked until 2 a.m. Thursday preparing orders before returning to work at 8:30 a.m. By about 11 a.m., the shop had delivered about 200 of its at least 511 Valentine's orders using four vehicles.
