Wayne Revell (left) and Marvin Blackburn, both of Parsons, move bundles of wheat to build a shock as Revell’s son, Waco Revell, also of Parsons, drives his 1937 Oliver 70 row crop tractor with a wheat binder Saturday morning. The three, along with other volunteers, were making the wheat shocks to be threshed during this year’s Farm Heritage Celebration Oct. 5-6 at Tolen Creek Park. Volunteers also plan a June 30 event to harvest the rest of the wheat at the field at the park as well as bale hay with an old-fashioned hay press and work on a rock fence. The public is welcome to observe and possibly help with the work.
