Labette Community College sophomore guard Raven Taylor blocks penetration from a Barton County guard Wednesday evening. The LCC women's basketball team faced a 42-28 deficit Wednesday at home in a win-and-go-home game against the Lady Cougars. However, LCC closed the second half on a 27-13 to force overtime and eventually won 69-63 while there. LCC will take on unbeaten Hutchinson in the quarterfinals of the Region VI NJCAAA tourney Saturday in Wichita.

She scored 29 points and led the Trojans to a 70-66 victory over the Lady Vikings, who trailed 40-29 at the half before pulling into a tie through three quarters. The Lady Vikings finish the season at 17-6 overall and were the Southeast Kansas League champions this season.
