THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF LABETTE COUNTY, KANSAS
NOTICE OF HEARING
In the Matter of the proposed adoption or incorporation of the 2012 edition of the “International Building Code,” “International Plumbing Code,” “International Mechanical Code,” “International Fire Code,” “International Fuel Gas Code,” and the “2008 National Electric Code,” regulating and governing the conditions and maintenance of all property, buildings, and structures; by providing the standards for supplied utilities and facilities and other physical things and conditions essential to ensure that structures are safe, sanitary, and fit for occupation and use; and the demolition of such structures in Labette County; providing for the issuance of permits and collection of fees therefore, and repealing all Resolutions and parts of Resolutions in conflict therewith.
The Board of County Commissioners of Labette County, Kansas to All Persons Concerned:
It is proposed that the following codes be adopted or incorporated for all zoned unincorporated portions of Labette County excluding the 3 mile zone around the city of Parsons, Kansas, to-wit:
a. International Building Code,” 2012 edition; including appendix G, H and J; published by International Code Council, Inc.
b. International Plumbing Code,” 2012 edition; published by International Code Council, Inc.
c. International Mechanical Code,” 2012 edition; published by International Code Council, Inc.
d. International Fire Code,” 2012 edition; including appendix B, C, D, E, F, G, H, I and J; published by International Code Council, Inc.
e. International Fuel Gas Code,” 2012 edition; published by the International Code Council, Inc.
f. “National Electric Code,” 2008 edition; published by the National Fire Protection Association and the International Code Council, Inc. .
A public hearing shall be held before the Board of County Commissioners of Labette County, Kansas to afford interested parties an opportunity to be heard either in favor or in protest of the said proposed adoption or incorporation by reference of the above Codes at 10:00 o'clock a.m. on the 31st day of December, 2012, in the Commission Room, Labette County Courthouse, Oswego, Kansas 67356, at which time and place said cause will be heard. Copies of the proposed Codes are available for public inspection at the Labette County Courthouse, Office of the County Clerk, during regular business hours.
