OFFICIAL NOTICE OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION PUBLIC HEARING
TO WHOM IT MAY CONCERN AND TO ALL PERSONS INTERESTED:
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that on June 19, 2012 the Parsons Planning
Commission will consider the following zoning application at 5:30 p.m., or as soon as thereafter, in the Commission Room at the Municipal Building, 112 S. 17th St., Parsons, Kansas:
Proposed change of zoning district classification from R-1 Single-Family Residential District to R-3 Multi-Family District.
Legal description: Commencing at the Southwest Corner of the Southeast Quarter of the Northeast Quarter of Section 14, Township 31 South, Range 19 East of the Sixth Principal Meridian; thence N 02 24 26 W along the West line of said Southeast Quarter of the Northeast Quarter a distance of 1319.31 feet; thence N 87 27 40 E a distance of 45.00 feet to a point which is on the East line of Alice Street and on the North line of Lot 20 of Gilletts Addition to the City of Parsons, for a Point of Beginning. Thence continuing N 87 27 40 E a distance of 128.50 feet to the Northeast corner of said Lot 20; thence N 87 32 36 E a distance of 144.07 feet to the Northeast corner of Lot 11 of said Gilletts Addition; thence N 87 33 05 E along the North line of said Gilletts Addition a distance of 18.94 feet to the East line of the West half of the West half of the aforementioned Northeast Quarter of Section 14; thence N 02 22 03 W along said East line a distance of 150.00 feet; thence S 87 30 36 W a distance of 291.62 feet to the aforementioned East line of Alice Street; thence S 02 24 26 E along said East line a distance of 150.00 feet. You may appear at this time either in person or by agent or attorney, is you so desire, and be heard on the matter. After hearing the views and wishes of all persons interested in the case, the Planning Commission may close the hearing and consider a recommendation to the Governing Body which, if approved under the City Zoning Regulations, may include additional requirements to make such a use compatible to the neighborhood. The public hearing may be recessed and continued from time to time without further notice.
