Firm seeks tax abatement at Great Plains

OSWEGO — The Labette County Commission was approached Monday with a request for a public hearing and approval of a resolution supporting a 10-year ad valorem tax abatement application to be submitted to the Kansas Board of Tax Appeals for a new business wishing to establish itself within the Great Plains Industrial Park.

Known as Project Levi during the course of preliminary discussions the last two years, SR Fertilizer was formed to test and manufacture agriculture products.
