Gerald and Shirley Zuck will celebrate their 65th wedding anniversary with a family and friends celebration from 2 to 4 p.m. Saturday, May 19, at New Hope Christian Church in Cherryvale.

The Zucks were married in Cherryvale at noon on May 24, 1953, at the Cherryvale Christian Church by Dr. H.F. York.

Gerald ministered 62 years throughout Oklahoma, Missouri, Nebraska and Kansas. He delivered hundreds of revivals across the U.S. and Russia before retiring from full-time ministry. He dabbled in the insurance business for 10 years and enjoyed substitute teaching for more than 20 years. Shirley has been the rock behind the man. She is the epitome of the Proverbs 31 woman to both her husband, Gerald, and children.

Gerald and Shirley are the parents of the four P’s: Paula, Pam, Patti and Penny. They are also the proud grandparents of six grandsons and four granddaughters. The blessings continue with 10 great-grandchildren with whom to share their lives.

The couple requests no gifts, but cards and the presence of friends would be appreciated.

Cards may be sent to Gerald and Shirley Zuck, 205 W. Second, Cherryvale, KS, 66735.
