Keith and Charlean Wilson of Parsons celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on Thursday, Independence Day.

Keith Wilson and Charlean Waring married on July 4, 1969, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Parsons.

Keith is a retired U.S. Navy master chief petty officer. He also retired from General Dynamics as a program manager. Charlean retired from the Medical Arts Clinic and Day & Zimmerman Inc., where she worked as a medical lab technician. The couple are both glass artists and own ChaGlaz Designs in Glass studio. The couple have two children, Aaron Wilson of Lancaster, Ohio, and Andrea Merrin of Bellefontaine, Ohio. They have eight grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Anniversary plans include a study trip to the Chrysler Museum of Art’s Perry Glass Studio in Norfolk, Virginia, where they will take a weeklong course and learn new glass techniques; a visit to the Corning Museum of Glass in Corning, New York, to participate in a workshop; and then a scenic drive up to Niagara Falls, Canada.
