Mr. and Mrs. Terry Phillips of Parsons observed their 60th wedding anniversary this week.

Terry Phillips and Kae Statz were married on April 20, 1957, at First Methodist Church in Parsons.

Mr. Phillips is a retired teacher and coach. He taught at Erie High School, Parsons Middle School and Parsons High School.

Mrs. Phillips is a retired business teacher. She has taught at Erie High School, Parsons High School, Parsons Middle School and Labette Community College.

The Phillipses are members of Wesley United Methodist Church in Parsons.

They have lived in Kingman, Erie and then Parsons since their marriage.

Their children are Tony and his wife, Debbie, Teresa Hays and her husband, Dennis, all of Parsons, and the late Doug Phillips. They have six grandchildren and one foster grandchild. They also have eight great-grandchildren.

The couple celebrated their anniversary with a trip to Branson, Missouri, with their children.
